In 1966 Yves Saint Laurent was the first one to create a woman's tuxedo suit with a jacket cut like men's smoking jacket, and matching pants. A liberation from skirts and dresses, we might say. He introduced women to a lean, androgynous look that evolved into the power suit. I absolutely love this editorial! The overcoats are gorgeous, I love the trench over wool or tweed, the bold checks, the sleek trousers... everything. It's very modern and  has a strong presence. The images are from HARPER'S BAZAAR-UK, photographer Sebastian Kim, styled by Brian Molloy
